i have 27-11-12 zillas and i think the zillas are the best tire i have tried. so far i have tried 27-12-12 mst, and 28-10-12 swamplites. get the zillas.just my 2 cents. i use mine for trails and lite mud and water.

How do they wear? I have a chance to pick up some 27's. Will be about 3-5 miles of gravel each time I ride it, then a mix of dirt/trails to mud, and some snow. Probably won't be a full time tire. Just to swap out when I want to go down to the river or play in the mud, but will still take the gravel road to get there.

They're pretty rough on anything but soft stuff or mud. The compound is fairly hard though so they should last a while. They pretty much suck on gravel, you'll slide all over the place and they lack the stability for cruising speeds.
Ps. don't let anyone ride behind you on the gravel. It would be very painful for them.

My 2 cents speaking from personal experience.

Default Zillas

I have 28x11x14 Zillas and was not impressed with the ride. HOWEVER....for a light mudtire I was VERY IMPRESSED how they performed in the mud. Also...keep in mind the lugs are deeper on the ones that mount on the 14" rims (i'm not sure why). I would recommend them to anyone wanted a semi-decent riding mud tire. Lightest tire on the market and very affordable.

Will 28's fit without a lift kit? 12" or 14"?

They do not rub at all. I've ran both the 28" outlaw MST's and the 28" zillas and never once rubbed (loaded with 2 people, ice chest, etc). I ride with a guy that has 29.5" outlaws....his rubs a little bit under hard articulation but surprisingly not that much.

That's nice to know....I was about to order my 27x9x14 XTR's all around....I may have to re-think things if the 28" Zilla's will fit with no rubbing and no bottoming out...thanks!!!!

And just to make sure, there is no rubbing on the front tie rods with the stock offset right? Because it is real close now with 26x9x12...

I was planning to go with 14x6 all around...I would think that would clear up any rubbing issues as for as tie rods go... I am still concerned about a 28" tire bottoming out because of the slightly additional height created by a 6" rim instead of a 7 or 8...

Shall I assume the stock tires are junk? I haven't even picked my Teryx up yet.

Thanks.
