Off road and Street Tires.

Has anyone put street tires/Off road tires on their Teryx4? I have made mine street legal and wearing out original tires. I want to put street/Off road tires on so I can ride the roads and trails. Any suggestions?

General Graber AT is what I ran on the T2. They have very very little wear considering they were built for a light truck. Their downfall was in the sand washes. Although it made it through the tires spun alot.

Wrench Tires...

I have 2 complete sets of wheels and tires (actually 3 sets counting to stock ones I still have stored) for my machine. 1 set (28"x12"x12" GBC Dirt Devils on 12"x7" STI HD1 wheels) is for racing and really hardcore riding and the other set (30"x15"x10" GBC Kanati Mongrels on 15"x7" MSA Diesel wheels) is more for light trail riding and snow plowing.
BlackWidow likes this.

General grabber..is that a continental tire? Was it a 12" or 14" wheel that you had them on? And what size tire? Thanks..any info would be much appreciated as I'm interested as well but having a hell of a time finding a tire size equivelant to my 28's that will mount on a 12" wheel!

As I recall they were a 27" tire, a tall 27", and fit 14" wheels. These tires were very common on mail delivery trucks!

helrzr215 I just made my Teryx 4 street legal and running 26 x 9 x 12 on the front and 26 x 11x12 on the back my stock tires on some STI-HD3- wheels and a 2" highlifter kit. Just wondering if I could get some advice thinking about more ground clearance and be able to drive it on the road without wearing my tires out. Should I start with different wheels ? and grab some 28x10x14 Kanati Mongrel UTV tires or do you think they would rub ?

Wrench Big Tires...

Well mine is just a 2 seater but with the 2" lift kit I put on it I can run both set of my wheels and tires with no trouble with clearance. I have 1 set of GBC Kanati Mongrel 30"x15"x10" tires on MSA Diesel 15"x7" rims and 1 set of GBC Dirt Devil 28"x12"x12" tires on STI HD1 12"x7" wheels. Both sets clear just fine but when I run the 30" Mongrels I have to watch the really hard hits to the front wheels.

With the Kanati Mongrels' I wouldn't have to buy new wheels. They'll fit. How would it look changing all to 26x10x12's? I am thinking that is the way to go.
