I use to fish a lot. Now I just deer hunt, turkey hunt, and ride my Teryx. No idea why I quit fishing. I still got all my stuff.

I kinda lied there too. I work more than
anything. Haha.

Looks like some good eating though. Love some crappie!!

I just got back into fishing the last three 3 years. I use to be gone fishing or hunting just about every weekend in the past.Never gave up the deer or Turkey hunting. Grandson loves fishing! He will stay out as long as I do and want to stay longer!! My 13 yo grandson and son in the background in the second pic.

While I really enjoy riding our Teryx, dirt bikes & MX racing with Grandkids, and many other hobbies & sports over the decades..., my first love has always been stillwater trout fishing! I use to teach a fly tying class and also write articles for flyfishing publications.

I fish 50-75 days a year most years. I live within 20-40mins from many quality stillwater trout fisheries. I've fished these places for about 45-yrs and have learned each lake or reservoir well.

I fish 80% of the time out of a float tube and the remainder of time out of boats with friends or family.

Each year I keep a folder of pics from that season's quality trout & char. In our region, the Rainbows are generally native, wild, and often self sustaining. All other species may be wild & self sustaining, but not native.

Here are a few of the quality trout & char I released in 2018. I have 100's of quality fish pics every year going back decades.

Flyfishing stillwater trout is my passion!

SlackerHQ and RDL17 like this.

Those are some nice fish for sure. Never fly fished myself but have caught a few trout with other methods. Mainly fish local lakes here only 15 mins from Beaver Lake that I've fished all my life.
