Not finding much of guys experience on the dunes. I know some talk about Glamis, but I was wondering about performance at Silver Lake. I have been going for years but nwver with a T4. I have a 2017 T4 stock with 28x10 Warthogs. Anyone take their T4 up? How did it do? I know they rent them, but just wondering about the big hills? Thanks.
We plan on heading up there this summer at some point. I also have the same question. The mechanic from the kawi dealer said they usually take the mules up there when they go because the Teryx struggles going up test hill, but thats only one opinion. i think the teryx would do just fine IMO.
i couldnt agree more. We should do a teryx meet out at silver lake. Would love to provide video/picture evidence to aforementioned kawi technician of our findings.
I have been to sand mountain in Nevada with paddle tires and it was not that great of an experience, could go up small hills, but nothing long and steep. The sand there gets softer in the afternoon because the moisture is less. At time I couldn't even make it all the way around the bottom
I was looking at silver lake sand dunes online. It appears right up against the lakes, so there should be moisture in the sand, so it should be great. No moisture in the sand in Nevada
It gets pretty soft as well @ silverlake. They do rent them specifically for the dunes up there, so I think it will do ok. Guess I will find out come July. I will try and follow up when I get back to let everyone know. Thanks guys.
Well just got back and it was a blast! Couple spots that I couldn't make it up but I just switched my line and gave her hell! Not the best thing to have at the dunes but the fam loved it! Once I found a good line I could get a touch of air off the last couple hills!
