door skin removal

After searching all the how to threads and coming up empty I was wondering if anyone had ever removed the door skins on a Teryx and if so what tool is needed to take the screws out. Needing to take skins off for a project I am working on. Any advise on tool to purchase??? Thanks in advance for any help...2016 Teryx 4

If you are talking about the color panels on the doors, they are held on by rivets. A bit of a PITA to remove, if you let the rivet spin too much while drilling off the head you will melt the plastic. I had better luck sometimes grinding the rivet head off with a dremel VERY SLOWLY as to not build up heat.

My apologies in advance if we're not talking about the same thing, Mike

I have the same question! What tool do you use to remove the outside door skin. They are not riveted on.
When my Teryx was assembled, almost all was well, but the door skins have a gap between the steel frame and the skin. I'd love to remove and reinstall to clean up the appearance; IF someone knows what tool to get. The local Kawi dealer was no help.

I tried to determine the year of your Teryx Dave, but it's not on your profile. I had a great deal of experience with the Teryx until my retirement in Jan. of 2018, and up to that point there was definitely no steel frame in the doors. They were blow-molded plastic with the hinges bolted on and the latch and color panels on the side riveted. OP says his is a 2016, so I know for a fact, if he is talking about the color panels, that they are indeed riveted on. Maybe you are referring to the new KRX?
