Terex 4 le Battery removal and reinstallation

Hello,

First off, i'm not very mechanically inclined, but it took me over an hour to find/remove the battery from my 2018 Terex 4 for winterization. Are there any tricks or helpful ideas on how to remove OR reinstall the battery?
I would sure appreciate any help.

thanks,
Al

My trick to getting the cables back easier is just to buy longer bolts, getting the “nut plate” and all the cables ligned up with the little light you have in ther can be cumbersome the extra lengths can be of great value when there is little room to begin with.

Baddazzbigblue -- Yep, winterizing. Leaving central Oregon for Arizona for the winter. (I know, I know) I should take it with me but hauling behind the fifth wheel is not my cup of tea.

I used to pull batteries. I no longer do. I put a charge on them once to twice during the winter and then before I start it in the spring.

Heat is probably worse than cold for batteries. Anything over around 77F is bad.

Extra long bolt for terminals is a good idea.

I am thinking 4' tywrap to install it. Maybe a ratchet strap. Getting at the drivers side mounting bolt is PIA. Not bad getting out, but tightening back up, with wrench and ratchet top and bottom is PIA.
