BOSSTANKíS Build Thread

Made my own thread to document my build progress:

Just finished installing a windshield.
https://www.sidebysidestuff.com/supe...ryx.html#jmui=

That was a fun project, especially doing it by myself haha.

Thank you sir. I hope I’m gonna like it, was a hard choice to decide on what kind of windshield I wanted to go with.
I figure with this one I can get the best of both worlds. Take the top shield off if I want to just run a half shield.

Sweet. Im doing the same, its on order. Curious how much gap at top between roof? I am concerned rain will blow up over top of window?? Kinda big deal for me as I live in wetside Wa rain heaven.

Rain does come in some over the top of the windshield but I get more from the rear with the vortex that is created by running a windshield and a roof. It sucks everything that the tires kick up (dust and mist) and sends it forward. My roof was soaking wet and dripping all over me when I rode in the rain. The back of my head and my back was soaked. I installed a rear windscreen/cover to fix that issue. Also the factory plastic roof will run water down on to your left leg in the rain from their little gutter system they got going on. I used some black caulk and filled the gutter up on both sides of the roof and drilled holes so the water would run down the windshield and not on me.

Good info. I’m trying to decide on wich roof I want. Maybe I should go with the SuperATV tinted roof instead of the plastic one.

I started installing my winch earlier but ran out of time. Got it all figured out except how to run the red wire to the ignition, gonna have to pull that plastic top trim piece off and look around. Also while I have it off decide if I want to mount a rocker switch inside or use the handlebar switch and just run it through the glovebox. Probably be a couple more days until I have time to finish the install.

That windshield was kind of a pita to install... didnít think it would work at first cause the clamps seemed too small and screws too short. But I finally made it work.

Wow that is quite disappointing... Hmm, Pool noodle gasket? I will have to figure this out. I was going to use emp glass but I was ignored so.. Oh well it will be nicer in the hot months to use flipper. Thanks for pics.

Been installing the Viper 4500 Elite winch this morning... fixing to go to AutoZone to get some pigtail fuse taps for both the wireless remote module and the cabin switch.
Iím wondering if I can run both to one pigtail fuse tap? Guess Iíll find out.

totally second that barefoot. rear window design is in the works. also trying to figure out what to do with the gutters, maybe do holes as you suggest.

ITS BETTER DO DO NOTHING AND MAKE NO MONEY THEN BUSTING YOUR ASS AND MAKE NO MONEY

I have a 2008. It's on my list to cut it and fab a pivot, so the hood can open.

As for toolboxes I had a Trailer tongue box sitting around. It fits nicely and bolts through bed using existing screws. I got longer ones for more threads. It is metal, black, sealed and locks. Loving it so far.
