If you are planning on riding on the coast, you need to spray WD-40 on as much of your frame, under carriage, wiring as you can before hand. After the ride you need to pressure wash your bike completely several times as possible.

I think you can on the outer banks but not 100% sure on that.

Barefoot, I believe you ride Hatfield and McCoy trails, I know I said we ride for free out here and that makes us lucky. However, after doing some research I would gladly pay to ride that trail system. It's not as I was thinking, an atv / utv Park, rather a quite elaborate system, well maintained area. So now I am going online to purchase a permit simply to support that system. I won't get out there to ride this year, and maybe never but I feel it is worth supporting.

Wd40 will collect alot of sand in places you don't want it. Stay out if the salt water, and wash really well several times when you get home, you'll be fine

I ride those trails a lot too and they are pretty good. Went to the Virginia side and the Spearhead trails a couple of weeks ago to check them out for the first time. Their trails are not nearly as good as Hatfields, but they are fun! My next ride will be back at Hatfields so I need to get my permit. If you ever did decide to make the trek to check them out, let us know! There are several board members here that ride those trail systems regularly so finding someone to show you around would be easy
