2017 teryx4 le fuel gauge issues

So got a 2017 teryx4 le few weeks back and really enjoy it. 784 miles so far. The fuel gauge always flashes full or empty though. Here is what I have done/want to do:

I only use premium since it may sit for a week or two when I can ride. I check the wire harness connector, nothing burnt/bent, no rust or unusual discoloration. I cant really see the fuel gauge device inside the tank to see if the float is stuck. I plan on doing the fuel vent mod as mine is vented to the frame like older models. I am also unable to find a wire diagram. I am wondering what else you guys think I should do. I have not called the powersport places to see if it would qualify as a warranty claim. I did find a recall that was for many 2017 teryx/mule/teryx4 for fuel thing that cracks but when I type my vin is does not apply.

What else would you guys try/do before calling a local shop for possible warranty issue? Everything else seems to function and work great but the gauge is always flashing empty or reading full. I have shaken the thing hard and driven on bumpy roads hoping the float was stuck but no luck.

feedback appreciated on what to check/try next.

wondering if mine slipped through the cracks and is semi related to the fuel gauge? Also if its related. there is MASSIVE vacuum OR pressure in the fuel tank. When I take the cap off huge air sound but I not sure how to see if its vapor pressure or vacuum etc.

The recall was for the black steel ring that holds the fuel pump/fuel gauge assembly in the tank. I have personally never seen or heard of the condition you are describing, but it does sound electrical to me. I would think a stuck float would give you the same reading all the time. Maybe check the connector on the back of the meter?

Wont lie I haven't made any progress. Called the place I bought it from and they said drop it off anytime at least 30 minutes before they close and they'll check it out and see if its warranty related etc. I have my wifes friend coming this Wednesday from the East Coast so probably not this weekend, but next I'll drop it off at the Kawasaki dealer and I will update when they let me know. Sorry for the delay. I always hatge finding a thread and then never learning what the issue was.

Im not keen on taking the dash apart and from checking the connectors on everything I can get by hand, no corrosion, burnt contacts/pins, and no rubbed through spots on any wiring I can. I did score a pdf service manual from a 2018 teryx and it seems if its not a bad ground they usually have to replace the whole fuel pump because the float is built into the assembly unit. Im praying its not something I have to pay for outside a small warranty fee or something.

Will update soon as I can.
