I wanted to start a new thread about this. If you have an old 2008 Teryx like my Chompy, then you know the fuel pressure bleeds down over time.
They can be a real pain to start after sitting for a week or two.
The old lines and the mechanical fuel pump can’t maintain the vacuum pressure indefinitely so all the fuel bleeds back down into the tank.
Well Trexxer gave me a solution to the problem: just add a primer pump from a boat tank.

Badda Bing Badda Boom!!!

Problem solved. No electric fuel pump needed, no rejetting the carbs, no fuel regulator, nada.

I got the primer from Amazon for 15 bucks, and had it installed in 5 minutes flat.

This is one of the best mods I’ve seen for the first gen Teryxs.
Thanks again, Trexxer

It was super easy, just unclamp the hose from the tank that goes to the fuel filter, then install the bulb facing in the right direction. (It has an arrow on the bulb). I didn’t even trim the hoses down. I just ran the slack behind the passenger seat so I can access it easily.
