I just took my new 2020 Teryx4LE into the dealer has 250 miles on it. Engine was making a weird noise. Was told the cam lobes were not correctly polished from the factory and he had seen about 2-3 dozen with this problem? Anybody else experience this?

I sure hope my new '20 T2 doesn't have this issue. My last Kawasaki was a '75 KX125 that came with welding spatter inside the gas tank and no fuel filter. The spatter destroyed the chrome cylinder liner but was repaired under warranty. Unfortunately the Kawasaki mechanic failed to seat one of the wrist pin circlips which subsequently fell out, seized the engine, locked the rear wheel at 30 mph, scored the new piston and cylinder on it's first use. The dealer then refused to fix their screw-up so my dad had a steel sleeve installed in the cylinder and we rebuilt the top end ourselves. I guess I'll find out, only 20 hours on mine so far. So what kind of noises was the motor making?? Was it loosing power cutting out. Not idling

The motor was not loosing power or idling odd. I had driven the machine and it sounded pretty normal to me. I have a buddy with the same machine and his is a 19' and he said he didnt notice anything different as far as the motor goes either. The mechanic said it sounded funny and said he took video ( i have yet to see it)

Maybe they're just slow in the shop and looking to make some money doing "warranty repairs" lol

Yeah I think they are looking for warranty work . I had a rzr 800 that had a cam lobe wore a little bit and I mean very little and it ran rough and and the push rod for that lobe was rattling loud . You would definitely know if a cam lobe is wore . I bet they don’t even take it apart. And when u go to pick it up tell them you want to see the old cam and we’re the lobe was wore and look at their face when u do lmfao hahahahaha . If they have one that they show u take a pic of the number that’s stamped on the cam so u can make sure it’s out of a teryex
