have any of u had any problems bogging out in water? it turned off on me in a little over three feet of water and has been bogging ever since and have no clue what it could be
Is your oil milky?
Did you drain the water out of the exhaust before starting?
Was the air box dry?
Did you start it in the water or pull it out before starting?
3' is fairly deep for a non snorkled UTV as its above the airbox opening.
i pulled it out first drained all the water out of the exhaust before starting bogged all day after that. the oil didnt look milky at all. in the process of snorkling as we speak.
Thoughts
Maybe some dirty water left small amounts of dirt in carb(s).
Check plug(s) not fouled.
Dilectric grease plugs, coils, electrical connections, etc.
There shouldn't be any water left in the exhaust now.
Without seeing or hearing it or seeing what you did as you stalled and pulled it out (assuming everything proper there), I'd think its dirty carbs or electrical/plug/coil issue.
Good luck.
it was the plugs, put new ones on today and ran like a champ untill i broke my front CV shaft. I have no idea how i did it but i did, anyway i really appreciate all the help thanks alot.
Thread is almost 9 years old. OP said it was plugs. Thread moved to engine sub-forum and closed.
