Changed out the belt. Clearly didn’t put something back together correctly. After turning off engine, something in the clutch continues to make noise. Only way to get it to stop cycling is to disconnect battery.

video explains it much better:December 3, 2022

Follow-up: I’m pretty sure it’s the EBC. I took the clutch cover back off, made sure that everything was clean, lubed, seated properly, and actuating (by hand) as it should. Cranked it up and everything seemed fine. Took it for a five minute ride and the noise is back. Any thoughts?

Any luck finding the source of the noise? keep us posted.
Engine brake control actuator. When you turn these machines off, the EBC resets itself to the proper “starting position“. For whatever reason, mine keeps trying to reset over and over, which is supposedly an indication that the actuator is about to crap out. I have simply disconnected the EBC for now, and the problem has gone away.
