Hi all.
The new KRX has caught my eye and I'm pretty sure there will likely be one in my garage in the not too distant future. Been a long time Polaris owner and currently have a pair of 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring atv's (his and hers) as well a 2018 Polaris General. All great machines that have given me no problems with one exception, my 2011 850 XP. Always keep an open mind and am willing to try something new if I see something I like. Hoping to be able to get some good, honest reviews and reports on it here. If the KRX continues to get rave reviews and few major problems, I will definitely give it a shot. I know a Kawasaki forum probably isn't the best place to find unbiased reviews on a Kawasaki product, but I know there will be some good info here. :beer3:

I grew up in Roseau, mn and have owned nothing but Polaris until my 2019 teryx. It was tough but I really enjoy it.

I think the hardest part will be having to learn a completely new machine. I pretty much know Polaris machines inside and out. We'll find out if an old dog can indeed learn new tricks. :grin

I had Teryx 2015. Then a RZR 900. Now a 2018Teryx4 and KRX. I have not put enough use on KRX to comment much but I have on the T4. Kawa are so much tougher and robust in build quality. Never a serious problem and Kawa service has been stellar. I am the guy who doesn't break down when friends do. Not Kawa's. Sure they break and have small issues but all do. I have replaced 1 cv boot on old T2. EPS glitched and Kawa warranty replaced eps. I think it was a battery issue but they just replaced it? Smooth belts that don't blow(RZR), easy to work on compared to Polaris IMOP as I don't need 100 tools! Stronger parts. Don't have to replace everything when she tip over or hits a tree! I hit a downed tree in old T2 at about 10-15mph. Bumper bent and a arm bent. No biggy. Tough. I did trade in our quads as well.

It could possibly happen sooner than expected. Got a quote from a dealer that could be hard to pass up. We'll see what kind of trade in they offer on the General and take it from there. Still a little leary about this new of a machine.

If it fits your needs I don't think you will regret it. The quality and capablility is much higher than Polaris imop. Ya trade in value is what stopped me at my dealer. They offer up good deal and screw ya on trade values. I declined at first, set a # and called back 3 weeks later. To my liking they met my # then. Go figure? Advise to research trade values Nada etc as well as prices at dealers cglist etc. Print it out and use for neg. It helps make your argument stronger and their lowballing harder. I do it and feel it helps quite a bit. Good luck, Get R Done!

LOL. So I hear back from the dealer a while ago. He is about 5k off from a fair trade value. Does not appear that I will be doing much business there. The NADA guides report says mine, with the options/add ons I have, should list higher than my quoted price on the KRX. That's a little over 9k more than his offer to me. LOL He could make 3-4k off of mine by just washing it and giving me a fair value for it. Good thing I'm in no hurry to do a deal. :)

You could just sell your General out-right and by-pass the trade-in. I was going to trade in my truck, dealer offered me $5500 for it. Clean Retail on NADA was $7200. I put the truck on Craigslist for $6800 and a note that I was trading it in in 3 days if it didn't sell. Truck was sold in 3 hours! :icon_thumleft:

That will be my next step. Wanted to see what they would offer me, now I know. :grin

Went to visit my local dealer Saturday. Wanted the wife to get a good up close look and feel for the KRX. Of course a salesman comes to visit. Turns out he was the sales manager. (must have been a slow morning) Got to talking and I told him about the deal I referenced above. He said he could do anything any other dealer could do. He then threw another $4k on my trade value. It's so nice dealing directly with "the man" at the dealership, and not have to play the game with the young salesmen.
How could I say no?????? :)

Way to go BobX2 it sounded like you were leaning pretty hard towards the KRX Congrats I like the full front bumper & roof looks like you already mounted a fire ex too
Thanks for sharing fun to see

Hey, thanks.
I was liking everything I was seeing and hearing about the KRX. It just seems to be the perfect machine for my riding style. If the machine holds up, I will be a happy camper.
The roof and front bumper were at the top of my list of must haves, along with a winch and windshield. The windshield should be here Wednesday, and I need to do some research and get a winch coming next week. Installing all the new parts is half the fun of ownership. The fire extinguisher came off my General. Won't ride without one.
I'm kind of a picture junkie and will post more as I add accessories. I need to figure out something for the rear so the dogs can enjoy it as well. The Kawasaki tailgate that doesn't open just won't work for me.

Got a little mud on the tires today out behind the house. I was pleasantly surprised by how little actually got thrown up into the cab. The ride and steering so far feels much nicer than the General did. Still trying to get used to the feel of the throttle. It doesn't have the instant snap that the Polaris had. We'll see how it goes after I get the break in done and I can really jump on it. :wink

Picking mine up tommorow. Got a white one with the protection package. Went in dead set on a green one and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a white one that was already rigged out. I sure hope i dont regret my decision.
