Hello guys new to the forum need help bring my teryx back to life 800 2014 4 seater model

Today i installed a new K and n filter and i syphoned the old gas and put some unleaded super with a can of seafoam 1/2 a tank

I noticed that the bike would idle good and rev good on neutral and also runs good in reverse but when i go to high or low gear it bogs bad so bad that it doesnt move forward at all it stalls bad but then i go back to neutral and it revs good and reverse works good too

Im out of ideas did the seafoam harm the engine i read alot of post that said the seafoam is not bad but right now im out of ideas

Please let me know if theres something i can try
Or if anybody has experienced this problem before also

Thanks

Thanks brokennosescotty. Thats one thing im going to try its on my list for sure but whats odd is that in reverse gear the machine runs good good fuel curve power band and it idles good also in nuetral Only when i go to high gear or low gear

Its almost like its in limp mode but i dont know too much about what causes this im definitely ordering some fuel filters any way thanks man for your input . Much appreciated

Thanks Berserker im thinking the same thing another test that I tried I lifted the back and of the buggy and I put it in high gear with the tires spinning in the air and it did not hesitate at all it had a good fuel curve and responded good as soon as I put the buggy down and press the gas on high gear or low gear it goes back to hesitation pop in and doesn’t go nowhere but reverse still works good with all this this tells me the fuel is good the ignition is good but something is causing this im going to look further into the e brake to see if i can figure this out man this is blowing my mind engine sounds good too this is crazy

Thanks for The input man I appreciate it

You talk of fuel curve. Are you hooked up to it with a laptop looking a map?

The parking brake sensor would cut you out with tires in air.

If it doesn't bog when jacked up, makes me think issue with getting power to rear end or making power.

But you can go fast in reverse?

Need to isolate this part of it. I don't know what is involved with FI tuning and why it would care about gear.

It does know if in R or N.. I am.not sure if it does anything with this info. If it does not, then start to think mechanical. Start to wonder about tranny. But I have no idea there.

If it goes fast in R, then you need to figure out if the ecm uses input for gear. But I am just talking from my bowels.

I still keep coming back to it runs good in reverse. I don't have my service manual with me, and mine is a different year. I am not sure how good it is for trouble shooting or giving you details on how stuff works Is the R sensor simple go to a light, or input ECM.

If it runs fine jacked up, says to me it can't handle resistance.

Have you tried a wide open place and punched it in reverse? Not the easiest thing to do, cause you have to get it there in Rev, and back. Reverse is fairly low geared, but so is low.
