This is the proper tool made specifically for push pins.
They are called push pin pliers. They grab the notches, and when you squeeze, they pop the center up with no damage, so they can be reused.

I usually used the tool in the first post, until I lost it. It worked pretty good. Small side cutters also work in a pinch.
My rzr came with a pair of regular looking pliers with notches ground into the ends that was made for removing those clips as well. Wouldn't be hard to make some if you have too many pliers laying around.
That would make sense, seeing as how you have to work on RZR's so much. Us Teryx guys pretty much just take things apart for cleaning. No need to fix what ain't broke!
Problem with those Harbor Freight pliers is they don't fit into many of the locations where the push-pins are located. After having bought those myself, I recommend just saving your $8 and using a small flat blade screw driver. Even with a screw driver most push-pins are not damaged and can be reused. If they are damaged, you can replace them with new for pennies a piece from Amazon.
