To snorkel or not to is the question? Have a set of triangle snorkels for my 17 teryx 4 le. I do do mostly water and mud riding mainly looking for cons. Thanks

Here’s a con. If you need warranty work they may not warranty certain things if they see the snorkels or see that it has been snorkeled if you remove them before the taking it. Unless you’ve got an awesome dealer. I know my dealer said they would have hard time warrantying anything to do with the motor or clutches if I snorkel it. I want to due mine just for safety but will have to wait 2.5 more years I guess. Wasn’t a problem with my RZR cause it was only under warranty for 6 months. Just my 2 cents.

I hear you there. Places here in Okeechobee get pretty deep and I don't want to hydrolock the engine. And it's dry now; it'll only get worse. Do a good enough job on the install and don't hurry, and of course be smart about driving it, and I hope everything will be fine.

Like you, my warranty still has 2 years. Knock on wood, I won't need it. But, I'm still learning this machine. I have friends with them, so if anything, they can help me out.

Gotcha. I understand if you ride in Florida. Watched several videos from places in Florida and it’s definitely wet. Looks fun. So I don’t blame ya there. Snorkel that thing!!

Cause they don't like mods, think you abused it, or being dramatic? I don't know anytone running one. I see it on craigslist. I just look as a mod, like adding big tires. Can be a plus.

But we don't run deep water up that much. So doubtul was really used that much. Maybe talk to others up around here. Maybe wrong. But not to the point it is worthless like some claim. Lose over half the value? But I don't think people do the deep riding up here that I guess some do. Not going more that 2 feet deep probably.

So much of this sites beliefs, and vernaculur are regional. I kinda doubt destroy resale around hre. Its just an airbox kit. But we don't have technical trails up here,bikes, or feet.

Just telling it like it is Berserker, I pass threw my dealership weekly, they give nothing for them and they won't resale them to public, too much liability they said, they have a man that comes buys them wholesale, but if you plan on keeping it don't matter either way

I am not doing it. But I find hardtop believe loss half the value. Unless in deep water areas they think people are abusing the machine. But if we wanted to mark half down for a abuse, they would be giving these away.

Lots of after market air filters too

No one I know is doing deep river crossings. But maybe they do.

I have turned back at beaver dams when my feet get wet. Maybe I am a wuss. I think some guys put feet on wheel wells of 4 wheelers. Done it for short distance.

My dealer will not take one in on trade that’s been snorkeled. Now if it’s factory snorkeled they will but you’re not going to get even full trade value.

I know I won't even look at a used bike thats been snorkeled. Tell all my friends to avoid them as well. A lot of people feel the same way, which is why most dealers won't touch'em.
