Unfortunately this is a common problem people have. The stock housings on the Teryx are built for halogen lights, so swapping to a bigger, stronger, hotter burning light can cause a few different problems. The first, is the heat is significantly higher out of an HID which can cause internal problems in the housing and can also damage the plastic reflector. The second is also the housing and reflector, because it is built for a smaller, less bright light, you waste and lose much of the actual power of the HID. Of course there is always people who do just direct swap the lights, but we don't recommend it.
I hope this helped, sorry if its not what you wanted to hear.
