28 x 10 on stock LE rims?

Looking to do same size wheels all the way around on the stock 14" rims that my LE came with. I tried to do some searching but it seems everyone is adding same size tires to aftermarket wheels. I'm just wondering if I would need to add any spacers or if I would encounter any problems by changing out the stock 2.0 big horns.

Is it as easy as just tossing on a set of new tires without issue? Even if stock the fronts are 27x 9 and the rear 27x 11 on the 14" LE rims?

I just put 28-10-14 on all four corners. I also added a 2" lift. The rims are off set giving me about 1.5" width. Sorry, I can't "talk the tech talk" but I love the set up. Its not top heavy and I love the extra ground clearence. The Sadona Rip-Saws are great for my style of riding.

I just want to confirm that you put them on the stock 14" LE rims that came on the machine? IE the skinny ones in front, wider in the rear. You didn't need to add any spacers or make any other changes for it run true? Thanks much for your help, its time for some new tires and this comes at a good time. Coincidentally I'm also looking at the ripsaws.

My first set of tires were a set of 28x10x12 Zillas on stock aluminum wheels which were 12x6 front and 12x8 rear. They worked fine, but were a little more "balooned" in the front due to being on a narrower wheel. Placing same size tires on the stock wheels is very common, due to the cheaper cost of not having to bug a set of wheels.

What size tire you looking at?

2015 super black Teryx 4 Kawasaki roof
2008 green Teryx LE 14" grey Moto Elixer wheels wrapped in Moto MTC tires - sold!
2001 red Kawasaki Bayou - sold!
2013 green Honda Rancher ES 4x4 custom sound system, 12" light bar, rear rack bag
1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 33" all terrains, 19 year work in progress!
1992 red Manco Machines 4 wheeler 5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine with cvt, 2 wheel drive, no suspension - sold!

Looking at 28 x 10 on the stock 14" LE wheels. I didn't know if I would need to add spacers for them to track true or if it was as simple as throwing them on and going. Thanks for help you two.

Did you ever swap your tires on the stock wheels? I'm looking to do the exact same thing and was trying to find clarification if would work or not.

Thanks.

I had a 2012 t4 and had a set of 28" bighorns and a set of 28" swamplites on that machine with the factory wheels that came on the machine and had no issues at all with no lift or spacers. I just purchased a new 2018 teryx 2 seater and it came from the factory with 27" bighorns, so going to 28" shouldn't be an issue.

It's not the diameter I'm worried about, it's running a 10" wide tire on the factory 6" wheel up front.

I'd rather not have to buy new wheel as well if I can help it. The other option would be to just run 27s (stock size for the 2018 Le)

The 10" wide tire will not be an issue on the factory front wheels. Guy I ride with put well over 1,000 miles on a set of 28x10 Blackwaters on the factory rims with no issues. They were still in decent shape when he upgraded to 30's on new wheels.

I too am contemplating putting 28 x 10 Mongrels or Traxion Alpha's on all four corners of an unmodified 2017 Treyx4 LE. From what I gather here is this can be done with no modifications (lift and/ or spacers) which would be great
Does anyone have any pics of this setup?
Would really like to see how the setup looks in the front and rear before pulling the trigger on these

Here is mine with 28x10x14 tusk terrabite tires with unmodified suspension. No rubbing at all but the terrabites run small.

That's great to hear. Glad to see you are able to get out in the forest. Most of them in AZ are closed for fire concerns.

Just curious. Why the same size tires all the way around?

1. I think it looks better
2. You can rotate them
3. I got a matching spare that can go on any corner

That’s my opinions and why I do it.

same here as 'Barefoot'

I hate the looks of the fat 11" OEM rears.....

also ability to rotate tires..especially if you have a spare the same

looks better.. with 28-10x14's..handles great

never did like the alloy OEM LE wheels...gone !

DOT hard pack Chicanes should wear twice as well as the Maxxis
