Wheel and tire package

Hi all,

I have a stock bike on 26s. I know that when you get up to around 30s we need to a clutch kit and I'm really not wanting to do that. Looking for the best place to order a package wheel and tire maybe up to a 29. (planning on doing a 2in bracket kit) I've started looking at sidebysidestuff and rockymountainatv but are there other sites?

I run 30" Crawlers on beadlocks with a stock clutch. My riding is a lot of slower speed technical trails (rocks, ruts, roots, hill climbs) such as Kentucky and Tennessee (Windrock, Brimstone, etc...). I've ran the stock 26" Bighorns for awhile, then 28" Intimidators (heavy), and now 30" Crawlers. While I think a clutch kit would be nice it's not required by any means based on my opinion. The only time I couldn't easily spin the tires was trying to back up a steep slope that had about 4" of thick peanut butter consistency clay mud on it.

Thanks for the post. I've read about other saying they needed clutch kits at 30s but wasn't sure if it was absolutely needed. I'm looking at 28s since I'm only doing a 2in bracket light don't really want more highy then that.

You can run 28x10R-14 on all four corners with a stock set-up if you also go with 14x7 4+3 wheels.

I have a friend with this set-up and he loves being able to rotate front to back

I have 30" tires and no clutch kit, bike does fine. I am thinking of doing portals in the future though. Only reason is to get through thicker mud.

I have 30" terrabites on mine with a stock clutch and seems fine. I think a clutch kit would help but definitely not necessary. Maybe if you are going to run in deep mud all the time maybe a different story.

Don't think 30" fit without a arms! 28 and some 29" may fit. Clutching is fine for me running 28" Horns and 28" Mudlight II's. I also have 4x3 wheels and Bandit ext shocks. I recommend RCKYMNTATV! I have Tusk Beadlocks and my tires from them, great prices and service, no shipping cost!

2018 Teryx 4 Camo. Bandits, 4500 winch, Flipper windshield, Boss stereo rocks, 2" spacers, VForce tuned! 2020 KRX 1000. Cab Kit, Ryco Street kit, Badlands 5k winch.

Most "typical" size 30's do not fit. There are some brands that run small, like the Blackwaters, that will fit on just a lift (buddy ran these on his '14). My 30" Crawlers would rub just turning the front wheels in the garage even with over 2" of lift (shocks cranked up).

Thanks for all the replies. We ride North Texas most trails and hill climbs but no alot of deep thick mud, some occasionally at lake Murray. Really not wanting to do the clutch kit. I'm only wanting the 2in bracket lift at the most so it looks like I'll be sticking with 28s since 30s won't fit

I used to run 2" highlift and 2" wheel spacers on my teryx. It was a pretty good combo for us. If I remember I had around 14" clearance and did better in mudd and rocks. I softened shocks and ride was improved as well.

You are correct to my knowledge 30" just won't bolt on without changing your suspension up, I replaced a-arms and installed 814 shocks. 28" and a bracket lift is a good step up from stock. Like Stormking said you will want to adjust your oem shocks.....I would start with setting as soft as you can and then stiffen up the setting until you like how it handles, don't forget about adjusting your pressure in your tires will play a role too. You also may want to remove the front sway bar and see how you like the ride without it, many of us have removed the sway bar (me included). Removing the sway bar will provide you a better ride at slower speeds when you are going slow, but when you wanna run fast and make hard turns you will see more of your sxs wanting to roll.

Yup, no sway bar for me. It allows front to "bite" into corners and get rear end around in a slide. Softer ride as well. I Hate front pushing into corners! I rather control the roll and rear. But I came from sport quads where I used front brakes to control my corner slides on throttle!
