Made me some custom floor mats

As much as I wanted floor mats, I didn't want to spend the $400 to get all five through Kawasaki. So instead, I ordered a rubber truck bed mat from Cabela's for $80, and made my own. The Cabela's mat is super tough, and is almost a 1/2" thick compared to Kawasaki's which is only just under 1/4". Yes the Kawasaki T4 mats do look better, but these ought to be tougher and a HELL of a lot cheaper.

What I did was use heavy duty foil, spray adhesive, a sharpie, and a razor knife. I used the spray adhesive to double-up the foil to prevent tearing, and also to glue edges together to make my "form sheets" wider--roughly 3'x3'. Then I used the foil to make floorboard forms by pushing/forming the foil into the lines/cut of the floorboard. Then I used the sharpie to mark the foil along the floorboard lines, pulled out the foil, used tin-snips to cut out the pattern, and layed out patterns on the mat. It was quite easy, and I was able to do all four, the bed, plus I have more left over to maybe put under the rear seats if I wanted. I ordered a long bed mat to give myself more to work with. Having trouble uploading pics.

I had done this exact same thing with my old Polaris Ranger and intend on doing it with my T4 once I get it. I cut them to fit and then they just laid there and if I wanted to wash under it or dry it out I could just pick it up and remove it. Never moved even on a 2200 mile round trip to Tennesee. I loved it on the floor much less slipery than the plastic.
