Look under your passenger seat. There's one
(vent) line from the gas tank going into the frame right behind the tank I'd have to say yes. That's the issue with the 12's and 13's.

I've got a 14 T2, I'm gonna check it tonight when I get home. A friends T4 cut our ride short because of this issue, we ended up pulling the pump and filter trail side and cleaning the filter with fuel in a cutoff water bottle, took forever to get all the dirt/mud out.

It's a 10 min. fix well worth the 8-10 $$ do a search there's 5 or 6 different ways to do it mine runs up the back if my passenger seat between the plastic and the seat

Vent line on my 2014 T4. Looks like it already has a check valve on it.
You are right it has a check valve. Most of us left the check valve on but put a fuel fliter inline and upstream of the check valve. The problem is water and dirt/dust etc can get into the tube that the fuel line is tied into on the frame. The check valve prevents fuel from coming out but not debris from going in.

finally did mine today and ran a line up under the hood with a little breather filter. Little overkill since I will never see that much water but I wanted access to the filter easily to clean .

BTW a few have complained about putting back on the kneepads I just about broke all the pins and just decided to grab some extra fatter body plugs and drill out the holes a bit more and popped those in there and worked perfect

Also, the hose is 7/32 not 1/4 and 6ft role while most parts stores sell it in worked out perfect.

I just removed my check valve and hose on the opposite side of the tank had mud and water but the other side of check valve was spotless..I also checked the hose coming off the tank which was also very clean do y'all think I could still have debris in my tank...I'm asking because I was stuck in a nasty hole for about 30mins this past sat and just want to be safe...

Installed a filter and ran the line up the back of the seat, behind the edge of the plastic.
No drilling, no tools (except for a pliers to trim a few zip ties that I used under the seat), and 10 minutes time.

Glad to find this info, so I could do the mod before getting dirty.

It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and remove the fuel pump to take a look. I sunk mine before I did this mod and I had all kinds of crap in my tank. I disconnected the line from my fuel injection and pumped a lot of water out before any fuel flowed. Had to drain completly and clean the fuel pump and filter pretty good. Never had anymore problems after the mod. You might be fine but you never know.

I did mine the same way! I havent taken the center covers off yet and it looks like a pain in the a$$. so i took the easy route:icon_thumleft:

I am working with Profill of Austrialia now to produce a pre filter sock, I have one in my Grizzly and they are well worth it

I will let you guys know when they get them manufacterd. And they ship oversees to the states for $3.00!

how hard is it to remove the fuel pump?
Easy on T4. Just remove bolts around the top of the pump and pull it out. I'd say removing the fuel line is the hardest part cause it's a screwy connector but it's not bad.

Has anyone found dirt in the filter after installing. I have been checking mine but always clean. I think 90% of the problem is it being plumbed so low and into the roll cage.
