Just got me a snorkel designed by Triangle ATV in Beaumont Texas. You lose your rear cup holders but this is the first one I have seen that looks great and fully functional. I would imagine they will have some kits ready shortly.

I will let you call them for pricing. One of the owners is a riding buddy of mine and they used mine to design it so I really don't know what the official price is gonna be.

FYI I took it out on the beer lease this morning and it did great! No water riding, just creeping slow thru trails and then some up to speed road riding. Wanted to get it good and hot and make sure I had no issues and there were none. Very happy with it so far.

I could be wrong and don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I suspect that the belt temps will be high. That is a long haul for the cvt intake and the engine intake and it has to be running right thru the exhaust tunnel.
JC, do yo have a belt temp gauge installed? If not you may want to get one to verify that it is all good.:)

Unless I'm mistaken, It used to suck it right from the engine compartment. I'm confused why u think taking a much cooler air in and just passing thru it the same area would be worse. I'm not the first in these forums to run one thru this area but others removed heat shields so they could keep cup holders. Rear Cup holders were not that important to me.

But by no means am I an expert. I will keep you all updated on it. So far so good.

I haven't got to see the install video yet so I don't know too much about what's under the plate yet but yes they came out of the center console hump and cut out the plastics thru the rear cup holders and installed a shaped metal plate over all of that so they could keep from getting down to exhaust. Still gonna be hot in there but I can't imagine the air can heat up to the same temps it was sucking from right there at the engine on a 2014 model.

I agree it does take a lot to get it right. There is one thread on here that shows only 2stacks out the back and they said it was a real beaotch with only 2 stacks I can only imagine with 3

Looks nice. I did mine myself, along with uncle's T2, and a Buddy's 2012 T4. We ran the air and belt intake out the front dash area and the belt exhaust out the back like these. Everything is full 2" pipe. I think this way is much better for air going into breather and belt box personally.

On your 3 running out the back, is it full 2" all the way or some 1.5" too?

If ur running it back up to the front and then to side and all the way up it can't be much shorter in feet than mine on the belt intake but yes I agree ur shorter on the engine intake and that's prolly better but I can't imagine its enough to matter. I actually expected them to do the install more like you did it but they wanted to do "what hasn't been done" and I'm very happy with it and fully expect it to be the standard for Teryx4 snorkels going forward.

And yes they ran 2" the entire way but some of it is their special flex hose. It ain't some junk pool hose or anything its high quality stuff. I don't know where they even find it.

They describe it as "It's all 2in, but uses our Multilayer, coextruded, polyethylene snorkel hose with a wire reinforcing coil (LIFE TIME WARRANTY)"

Running 95-100 degree air further will still be better than pulling 200+ degree air straight into the cvt out of the engine compartment. Worse case scenario, add a blower fan inline to force the cooler air in.

I agree Tator... And when u rev it up its a fan anyways. It sucks the air in and blows it out with such force I can't imagine even needing the fan.

And really if u measured the length from CVT to under hood and over to side it can't be but maybe a couple feet shorter than mine that just runs straight back and up. To me its a no brainer... If ur relocating just for the belt, go to the front, if u want to relocated for the belt and be able to go deep.... Get triangle ATV to take it to the back.

Still doing great! The metal cover thru the middle rear has a little wear and tear but nothing much. I haven't touched one part of the snorkel since it was installed 1.5 years ago. I drove thru the river last weekend multiple times and it was over the hood. I did end up snorkeling the exhaust because this machine doesn't like the back pressure if u let off gas it wants to die.

Do you have any pictures of your install and finished. I would love to know how and where you did yours and what materials you used. Thanks.
